FRANK VETERE – Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Melbourne.

Frank leads the Interaction Design Laboratory and is director of the research centre for Social Natural User Interfaces, a collaborative initiative with Microsoft Research. His research interests are in human-centred innovation, design thinking, technologies for ageing-well and interactions in mixed realities. Frank will speak about a project physiotherapy education, using body-based projection mapping and interactive virtual objects.

JAMES TIBBETT – Virtual Reality Development Manager – UNSW Australia Mining Engineering. PhD Engineering & Mining.

James leads the Virtual Reality and simulation and training department for UNSW mining. He has created the Mining Education Australia (MEA) Mineral Awareness VR experience to take students on a virtual journey to explore the origins of the mineral ingredients required to make a smartphone. James was recently awarded for his work at the 13th International Society for Rock Mechanics Congress in Montreal, Canada.
– VR demos of the Mining Education Australia (MEA) Mineral Awareness VR experience will be available for viewing on Samsung Gear VR headsets on the night.

ANDRE SELTON – Marketing, Plattar

Andre is the marketing Manager for Plattar, the world’s simplest augmented reality creator.
Learn how to create your very own powerful Augmented Reality app with our simple to use content management system in this session. The platform allows you to upload video and bring it to life in augmented reality. We have seen customers record green screen personal messages all the way through to children filming their win in a computer game and uploading it into their own scene.
